redco. Launch Event

We are looking back on the launch event of the redco. collection "The Trinity is Crying" on the 8th of August 2014 at ‘Potsdamer 72’ and our hearts are full.

What an incredible night of vision, hope, and a glimpse of the future ahead it was as Judith and Richard introduced the heart behind redco. and the greater cause for which it stands – desirable fashion as a means for sustainable social change. Lounging in the garden of ‘Potsdamer 72’ with a glass of wine, we had ample possibility to enjoy the mild summer night and go deeper into enriching conversations about redco.’s identity with many of you.

Our collection ‘The Trinity is crying’ features triangular shaped pieces of upcycled plexiglass that have been donated to us, then carefully assembled and turned into unique, minimalistic necklaces by the redco. team in Berlin. They stand symbolic for the brokenness of human trafficking victims and the restoration of value that redco. aims to be a part of. To make that happen, we have partnered up with “Liberty Clothing”, a social enterprise at an A21 shelter home in Sofia, Bulgaria. redco. has pledged to finance the materials “Liberty Clothing” needs to start operating. Part of the profits of the necklaces you bought at the event and the ones that are still available on the online shop will go directly towards that goal. Be quick to pick your favorite piece as almost all of the various designs are individually crafted single copies.

After our event, one lucky raffle winner got the chance to take a necklace home.

Without a doubt, the premiere of this year’s editorial film marked a highlight of the evening and revealed the inspiration behind the collection. It illustrates the struggle that numerous victims of human trafficking face. A struggle from darkness to light, from captivity to freedom. Shot at the event location, it also accentuated the striking appeal of ‘Potsdamer 72’.

As the evening went on, the presentation of further editorial photos was accompanied by live music performances from the talented ROYCE and Samuel G. Mpungu and we rounded up the night dancing to a live DJ set.

Celebrating this decisive moment in the redco. story with many of you has made this evening unforgettable. It has truly been an honor for redco. to experience your support in so many different ways. May it be through uplifting conversations, the purchase of a necklace, encouragement, or your faithfulness in spreading the word. We want to say thank you and look forward to what the future will bring. The journey continues and the best is yet to come.
